Ellen Maynard is a Brooklyn-based artist who specializes in the intersection of dance and film. She received a BFA in dance and video art from The Ohio State University. Ellen is co-creator of The Fleet NYC, a video dance production company. Her dance films have been shown at The Brooklyn Museum, SPRING/BREAK Art Show, and festivals including the International 60 Seconds Dance Film Festival, the 9th International Screendance Festival, the Third Coast Dance Film Festival, and Dance Film Association screenings. Ellen spends her summers as a videographer at Bates Dance Festival.
